The island of flowers, with an area of 6 kmË›situated south of Lošinj. A channel divides the bigger island Ilovik from the small islet of St Peter, on which there is the 11th century Benedictine Abbey of St Peter, and a graveyard. A particular feel is given to the island by the eucalyptus trees. This flowery island is the favourite port of call of yachtsmen in the evening. The archaeological site Sicadrija contains ruins of the early mediaeval church of St. Andrew.
On the island you can find a shop, a post-office and a number of restaurants. Ilovik is linked by regular ships to Lošinj, while during the summer there are day trips to it. It is possible to find accommodation in private houses.
