Whether you are a climber, mountaineer, geography lover or armchair traveler, you will love the Risnjak National Park map, which contains extensive coverage. The map can be used for printed materials, as a wall map or for billboard purposes.
Risnjak National Park, located in Gorski Kotar, was established in 1953 on an area of 3041 hectares. The park is based on the Risnjak mountain massif; the highest peak is Veliki Risnjak (1528 m). It extends between Snježnik (1506 m) in the west, the Kupa River in the north, the Drgomalj Mountain in the east and the Zagreb–Rijeka road in the south. The massif consists of numerous ridges: South Mali Risnjak (1448 m), North Mali Risnjak (1434 m), Cajtnik (1406 m), Viljske stijene (1387 m), Bijele stijene (1194 m), Veliki Bukovac (1266 m), etc. In 1997, the park's area was increased to 6400 hectares, and today the source of the Kupa River is located in the park area. The park is a striking example of the altitudinal division of the Dinaric mountain system in terms of relief, geology, hydrology and climate, plant cover and animal life. The area is divided into two zones: the strict protection zone and the targeted protection zone - in the narrower zone there are many natural landmarks of rare beauty, which is why it is included in the highest level of protected nature.
The part of Risnjak above 676 m of absolute altitude was declared a national park in 1953, covering 3198.52 km². In 1997, the area of Snježnik and the source of the Kupa River (a total of 64 km²) was added to it. The mountain was named after the lynx, which lives in its forests. The view from the top leaves visitors breathless. It is open on all sides and equally beautiful in all directions. These beautiful views, which extend from 1528 m above sea level to the Kvarner Bay, Istria and the Julian Alps in neighboring Slovenia, will remain forever in the memory of every visitor.
I've been a cook all my life, but I am still learning to be a good chef. I'm always learning new techniques and improving beyond my own knowledge because there is always something new to learn and new horizons to discover.
Life is a culmination of the past, an awareness of the present, an indication of a future beyond knowledge, the quality that gives a touch of divinity to matter.
