Vinodol or Vinodolska dolina is located in the hinterland of Crikvenica, and includes places from Križišće to Novi Vinodolski that have preserved Slavic names from antiquity to the present day. Today, the places Drivenik, Tribalj, Grižane-Belgrad and Bribir form the Vinodol municipality with its seat in Bribir. Vinodol or Vinodolska udolina, a narrow flysch valley in the Croatian Littoral. It stretches from the Kvarner Bay in the northwest to Novi Vinodolski in the southeast, for a length of approximately 20 km. It is separated from the sea by a limestone cliff. It was formed by the lowering of the terrain along a fault. The Dubračina River flows in the northeastern part of the valley, and the Suha Ričina River in the southeastern part.
Zagradski vrh is the highest peak in the belt along the coastal edge of the Gorski kotar plateau. It is about 5 km from the Vinodol step, and on the other hand it is only 2 km from Viševica, so it represents a transitional area between Vinodol and Velika Kapela. The northern side of the peak is covered with beech forest, while the coastal side is bare. The top part has the shape of a beautiful grassy ridge from which the views towards Vinodol and the Bay of Rijeka spread out.
