Krka is one of the rare karst beauties, the most beautiful one in all of Croatia. It is 75 km long from measured from the source to the mouth of the river, with an altitude difference of 360 m. This river has formed several natural attractions that are generally regarded as the most significant hydrological and geomorphologic phenomena. The “origin of the river at the eastern edge of the Knin field is decorated with a 20 meter high waterfall of the Krcica creek that runs down the canyon of Dinara and plunges right into the Krka source. 360 m. In the canyon part, Krka has created seven sedimentary lime (“sedra”) falls and lakes that appear almost surrealistic in the surrounding, arid rock-strewn landscape. Pouring over sedimentary barriers, it gives rise to wondrous waterfalls - the Roski falls is a lavish diverse barrier beginning with small cascades and ending in 15 meter tall falls with a total height of the falls amounting to 25,5 m.

In the ambiance of high canyon rocks and the downstream Visovac lake, Roski falls are one of the most beautiful localities of the Krka. Among the series of the falls, the last, most diverse Krka fall - Skradinski Buk - is in the opinion of many authors, the most beautiful lime sediment fall in Europe. It is 45,7 m tall, segmented in 17 greater or smaller stages interspersed with a series of miniature azure lake. Krka comes in contact with sea water in this area. Along the Krka, one comes upon several first-rate cultural and historical localities, remnants of numerous medieval towers and castles.
