When it comes to general planning, defining delivery areas, planning direct marketing and product delivery, our Split city map is perfect for getting the detailed information you need. The Split city map offers a clear view showing all the main streets and roads.
Split is the second largest city in Croatia after the capital Zagreb. It is the largest city in Dalmatia, the largest city on the Croatian coast and the seat of the Split-Dalmatia County. It lies on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea and spreads over the central peninsula and its surroundings. As a regional transport hub and a popular tourist destination, the city is connected to the Adriatic islands and the Apennine Peninsula. Marjan Hill rises in the western part of the peninsula. The Kozjak (779 m) and Mosor (1339 m) reefs protect the city from the north and northeast and separate it from the hinterland. Marjan Hill overlooks the city with a park/forest covering an area of approximately 3.5 x 1.5 kilometers, or 347 hectares. The importance of this peninsula for Split is also demonstrated by one of the city's nicknames, 'The City under Marjan'. Marjan is a favorite promenade in Split, and is very popular among runners and a popular viewpoint over the old town of Split.
After 2000, Split finally gained momentum and began to develop again, with an emphasis on tourism. From just a traffic hub, Split is now a major Croatian tourist destination. Many new hotels are being built, as well as new residential and commercial buildings. Many large development projects are being revived and new infrastructure is being built. An example of one of the city's latest large projects is the Spaladium Arena, built in 2009. The Splitska riva, or Riva, is the main pedestrian street in Split dedicated to the Croatian national revival of the 18th and 19th centuries.
