The surroundings of Zagreb are rich in historical monuments and diverse recreational opportunities. The northwestern part of Croatia, Hrvatsko Zagorje, is very interesting, recognizable by its wine roads, green hills with churches, romantic castles, and thermal springs. You can hike and hike recreationally on the slopes of Medvednica Mountain and Samoborsko Gorje. There are also numerous bicycle trails, hiking trails, and horseback riding trails.
